Happy New Year!
Are you making any resolutions? What will your resolutions be this year?
Mine will be:
Bring balance to my life
Try new experiences
Learn to enjoy who I am
Worry less
Be stronger willed with Joshua
Go on a retreat of some sort alone
Continue to learn about boundaries, how to set them and how to keep them in place
Continue to learn how to ask for what I want and how to ask for help
Take my therapy lessons and apply them to life
Seems like a lot, but in reality, they all boil down to the same core. I'm glad that I am putting this in a blog that I can look back on when I start to get sluggish. Then I have to account for myself.
I am hoping that New Year's Eve turns out for the best. The plan is...chinese food and then back to our house for some poker. It's a family tradition. We were going to change it up a bit this year and go to Blossoms of Light, but I don't think walking around in snow and 5 degrees is as fun as it may sound. So if the snow cooperates, we should be good with the traditional thing. My parents used to order huge boxes of chinese food! It was the best. When the family was getting along, it was great fun. When the family wasn't getting along, well, it just plain sucked. We got kicked out of my brother's house one year. Yaaay us! LOL Oh, well, it happens. Here's to the hope that this year is better than that one!
I wish you all a very happy new year! Have fun, enjoy each other, and look forward to a grander 2011. Whoever thought we'd actually live in the year 2011. It always seemed so far into the future. And here we are!
I know you will do great with your resolutions this year. I am very proud of your progress toward your goals in 2010 and I can't imagine that changing in 2011.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I remember when I first read "The Forever War" and 1997 seemed so far in the future.
Thank you darling. We are in the future now, I suppose. But, still, no flying cars.
